To be placed on a pre-competitive or competitive team for our 2023-2024 season athletes must attend a team placement session. Our team placements are a two-step process this year. EVERYONE MAKES A TEAM!

STEP 1: Athletes that are new-to-Thunder must attend an individual athlete assessment. Our coaching staff will assess athletes standing tumbling, running tumbling, jumps, and flexibility skills. These assessments will be conducted in small groups and take 30 minutes. Families must register on our website or by calling our front office at 905-819-9042. Athletes that are currently on a pre-competitive or competitive team will be assessed at the end of the season during team practices. SIGN-UP HERE!

STEP 2: Athletes (new and returning) are required to attend one of our team placement sessions in order to be placed on a pre-competitive or competitive cheerleading team. At team placements our coaching staff will assess athletes' stunting and dance/performance skills. *NEW THIS SEASON!* Athletes will be performing a dance at team placements. Returning athletes will have the opportunity to learn the dance that is age specific during our "Level Up" clinics in May. New-to-Thunder families will receive an instructional dance video after you register for team placements and our coaches will be able to assist athletes at individual athlete assessments if more support is required. Athletes will be placed on a team where we know they will be the most successful. Team placements are FUN and STRESS FREE! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! SIGN-UP HERE!

TEAM REVEAL NIGHT: Athletes and families will meet and greet their 2023-2024 team coaches and teammates at our Team Reveal Night on Sunday, May 28th, 2023 between 5:30pm-7:30pm at our cheer gym! Athletes will receive an envelop with their team placement for Season 20 and enjoy some fun team bonding games and activities inside and outside of the cheer gym. Parents/guardians will receive their team specific information package and they will complete the registration process and set up their payments with our front office staff. Families will receive an email with team placements on Sunday after the Team Reveal Night if anyone is unable to attend and families can also register at our front office throughout the week of May 29th - June 2nd, 2023 and complete all of the necessary forms.
