Our Pre-Competitive Teams
BRING THE THUNDER!
Our pre-competitive program provides athletes with an excellent cheerleading foundation as the focus is on teaching athletes proper techniques and progressions in tumbling, stunting, jumping, and dance. Our pre-competitive teams (Novice & All-Star Prep teams) train once per week and the focus during the earlier part of the season is skill building. Athletes will learn a routine that highlights the skills they have learned and they will compete at local competitions. Our pre-competitive teams are budget conscience with a low cost uniform and a lower monthly tuition!

NO TRYOUT REQUIRED! SEPTEMBER 2023 START.
ALL-STAR PREP TEAMS
SPARKS- U6 PREP- Athletes born between 2017-2019
TORNADOES- U8 PREP- Athletes born between 2015-2017
CYCLONES- U12 PREP- Athletes born between 2011-2016
INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE ASSESSMENT & TEAM PLACEMENT REQUIRED!
JUNE 2023 START.
ATHLETES MUST ATTEND AN INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE ASSESSMENT (NEW ATHLETES ONLY) AND AN AGE APPROPRIATE TEAM PLACEMENT SESSION (NEW & RETURNING ATHLETES) IN ORDER TO BE PLACED ON A PRE-COMPETITIVE TEAM FOR ATHLETES BORN IN 2019 OR EARLIER.
Step 1: Individual Athlete Assessments
MAY 11th-18th, 2023
Our individual athlete assessments are between May 11th - 18th, 2023 at our cheer gym for new athletes. Thunder athletes that are currently on a pre-competitive or competitive team will be assessed at the end of the season during team practices.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Step 2: Team Placement Sessions for Season 20
All athletes (new and returning) must attend an age appropriate team placement session in order to be placed on a 2023-2024 pre-competitive or competitive team. Athletes that are eligible for our Novice team (born in 2020) will be placed on this team (no tryout required) and this team starts in September. Below are the dates and times for our team placement sessions for this upcoming season.
